Mapleaf Dalmatians is committed to breeding dogs with sound structure and good temperaments that will bring joy to your home; but Dalmatians with their familiar black and white markings are not for everyone. An active, highly intelligent breed, these dogs need an owner who will love, care for and instruct them. Consider spending some time on the Dalmatian Club of America website for information about the breed, breeders and the versatility of Dalmatian.
Before going home, each puppy has been tested for temperament, socialized with dogs and children as well as tested for hearing (BAER) and has received all shots and worming treatments that are age appropriate.
As breeders we pride ourselves in striving to breed that are capable of excelling in multiple venues - conformation, rally, agility, lure coursing, tracking and companions. All of our breeding stock are health tested with appropriate clearances in place, DNA'd, & from champion stock. We do not do any breeding to simply have a litter, we breed for ourselves first and foremost.
At certain times, Mapleaf Dalmatians may have available young adult dogs that have retired from the show ring. These youngsters make a great addition to any home and come with the added benefit of training. Contact us if you are interested in this possibility. If we do not have a young retired show dog available we may know of someone who does.
